What a fantastic contest meeting we had this morning! Today’s theme was ‘competition’.
Congratulations to all of our speakers: Mervyn Rebello, Clinton Jones, Steve Tupai, Eric Schwerzel and Ben Oge.
A special mention to Mervyn who took out top prize for the International prepared speech. Well done Mervyn! He will go on to represent the club at the upcoming Area Contest on the 27th of March, Fickling Hall, Three Kings. Mervyn linked personal experiences to deliver his key message about happiness: “Stop burning, start living and be happy!”
Many thanks to Cynthia Mitchell, Mike Diggins, Stephen McPhee and Marlene Krone for judging. Also, our madam contest chairperson Brenda Newth and meeting Toastmaster Glenn Flinkenberg for running a superb programme.
See you at the next breakfast meeting on Tuesday 30th March.
