Quality vs Quantity

Meeting – Tuesday 14 September 2010

We were low on numbers this morning but not in spirit. After all it’s not about quantity, it’s all about the quality. And quality is something we certainly relished in with the high calibre of speakers in our meeting.

We were treated to a stirring speech from Helen Walker – “The price of a meal”. She exuded confidence and finesse as she spoke of the dramas of dining out with a large group and the ensuing complications with the final bill.

Clinton followed with a speech richly packed with great sustenance for everyone. He dished out great tips on how to inspire material for speeches and how to come up with a speech title. Jo Sutherland evaluated Clinton’s speech and said “It was one of his best”.

Quote of the day from the club president:

“Failing to plan is planning to fail.”
