The Central Park Toastmasters Club first started in July 1991. During that year, some of Auckland’s most experienced Toastmasters ran a series of demonstration meetings in the Central Park office complex in Penrose, Auckland. This culminated in the formation of a new club based in the Central Park office, which has since relocated to the Danish House in Penrose.
Interest grew as the benefits of Toastmasters was promoted and shared with business owners, HR managers, and sales managers; and soon people from the Central Park business centre and surrounding districts started joining.
Since then, the club has continued to grow from strength to strength, with some members having been associated with the club for over ten years. Through the development of communication and leadership skills, members are able to enrich their personal lives, improve job performance and career prospects.
